Customize your razor

Follow the steps to choose piece-by-piece your custom-made razor

1. Choose the material of your razor
Which material should I choose?

STAINLESS STEEL: The weight of the Stainless Steel razor is the driving force in cutting the beard. The heaviness of the material beautifully takes control of the glide along the skin. For some, it’s a better material because you can let the weight do the job and use your hand to slowly work around your face, learning every detail of it, carefully and quietly.

TITANIUM: The Titanium razor is roughly 55% lighter than the Stainless Steel. It is a game-changer when it comes to manoeuvering and it grants the user more control over the amount of pressure, angle and direction of the blade, so the shave itself reflects your technique.

2. Choose the color of your razor
How do we coat our razors?

The coating on our product is made used a technique called PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition). PVD is a thin film coating process with a high adherence applied through a vacuum deposition process of highly ionized plasma in a PVD machine, at high temperatures. Above all, this allows obtaining coatings of high purity, chemically inert and biocompatible.

3. Choose the Cap
What distinguishes Masamune and Nodachi caps?

The Masamune razor overall is very smooth, suited for more sensitive skin, or less experienced users. Its cap is a sligthly thicker, which makes the Blade Exposure and Blade Gap smaller.

The Nodachi cap, on the other hand, is thinner, which translates in a bigger BE and BG, making this razor more aggressive.

4. Choose the Comb
What are the differences between Closed and Open Comb?

The closed comb plate is our smoothest option and the most popular. It is designed with small grooves along the edges of the plate giving less blade exposure to the skin.

The open comb plate is designed to guide stubble against the blade, making it easier to cut longer and thicker hair. Its dented configuration allows more lather to remain on the face and gives higher exposure between your skin and the blade.

5. Choose your Handle
How different handles influence shaving?

To analyze the overall performance of a razor, you can never forget it’s dimensions, especially the handle length and weight. Of course, a longer and heavier handle will get a little extra help from gravity when you shave downwards, and vice-versa. Also, the center of gravity of such razor is slightly shifted farther from the blade and this affects its balance (positively or negatively depends on personal preference).

A longer handle normally suits better for people with big hands and shorter cables for people with smaller hands.
